Our Pothole Repair Process
Potholes come back when contractors fill the hole and skip the failure underneath it. We repair in the order that makes the fix permanent.
Cut & Remove
The failed area is saw-cut to clean, straight edges and the broken asphalt is removed completely — ragged edges are why cheap patches unravel.
Rebuild the Base
The stone base that failed underneath gets inspected, rebuilt, and compacted — because a patch over a bad base is just a slower pothole.
Install Hot Asphalt
Fresh hot-mix asphalt is installed in lifts and mechanically compacted flush with the surrounding pavement for a smooth, dense, permanent repair.
Seal the Seams
The perimeter joint between new and old asphalt is sealed with hot rubberized crackfill so water can't get back into the repair — the step most contractors skip.
Why Cold Patch Keeps Failing You
Potholes form from the bottom up: water gets through cracks, saturates the stone base, and freeze-thaw cycles break the pavement apart. Dumping cold patch in the hole treats the symptom — it washes out because the failure underneath was never touched.

What to Expect From a Patch
A fresh patch will read darker than your surrounding pavement at first — that's new asphalt next to sun-aged asphalt, and it blends as the patch oxidizes. Pair your repair with a sealcoat and the whole surface goes uniform black in one visit. Patches are ready for traffic fast, and we'll cone off anything that needs time.
